When filling out a state licensing application, you see on a requirement to provide “An Official School Transcript.” Not only that, but the “Transcript must be sent directly from the school to the Board office.”
Sometimes there are other requirements, like:
- Sealed in Envelope
- Counterfeit-Proof Paper
- Embossed Stamp
- On School Letterhead
However, you have one big problem with all of those requirements; your massage school has closed or been sold.
What do you do now? Who do you contact? Will your personal transcript copy be accepted by the state board?
The first thing I want to tell you is that massage schools close all the time.
All. The. Time.
Your situation is not uncommon.
The good news is that in helping thousands of people obtain massage licenses in other states, I have only talked to a handful who have never been able to track down their massage school transcript.
Sometimes it takes a lot of research, countless phone calls, and emails; but it can be done.
Here are just a few examples of emails I have received with situations that may be similar to yours, as well as some of my suggestions on what you can do next.
- “My school closed in 2015 and was sold to someone else and changed names. I am moving to Texas now and need a transcript. Who do I contact about sending my transcript to the board?”
- “My school closed down years ago, and the school that took over after closed down too. Who do I contact to get a copy of my transcript?”
- “My school closed due to the owner passing. I heard from another classmate that our records were sent two people. They did not know who those two people were. Do you have any suggestions to find my school transcript?”
What happens when a school closes, or is sold?
Part of the money you paid for your tuition is for the peace of mind that when you need proof of your education, the school would be able to furnish that for you, whether it is open or not.
When schools close, or are sold, the generally accepted practice is for the school to make arrangements for all of their past student records. This person may be called a keeper of the records or records custodian. A records custodian may be:
- A new school owner
- A former owner
- A former employee
- A state department of higher education
- Just a note: Public schools have more requirements about what must be done with the records. However, most massage schools are/were private. This makes tracking down records harder.
- The state-licensing agency, such as the state board of massage where you went to school
You may need to track down old classmates, search for names on Facebook, or make phone calls to your state board office, but the above are the best places to find out where your school records are located.
I have a copy of my transcript, can I just use that?
Sometimes. It largely depends on the State board.
I most commonly work with people moving to Florida. Florida only accepts transcripts sent directly from the school, or the person that holds the records for that closed school. I have heard just a couple of instances in Florida where they have accepted sealed (only sealed) transcripts from the applicant when every effort has been made to find records from their school.
Other states may be more lenient or stringent on this rule. If you have any questions about what a board will or will not accept, do not be afraid to call or email the State’s massage board office. Like I mentioned, they deal with closed schools regularly.
Places to Look for Your Transcript
To help you get started, I have just started to put together a list of a few specific states that post contact information for closed schools in their state. Some lists are for all schools (nursing, massage, cosmetology, and technical colleges).
Florida
- For private schools please contact the Commission for Independent Education at 850-245-3200. Transcript Request Form
- For public schools, please contact the Department of Education at 800-445-6739.
Illinois
Wisconsin
Colorado
Maryland
- Maryland Higher Education Commission – Click on Student Transcript Request Form for Closed Post-Secondary School
Are you ready to search, but don’t see your state listed above or in the comments below? Leave a comment on this post and I would be happy to look and add it to the list.
I have one more suggestion.
When you graduate, or eventually find your school transcript, ask for an additional copy of your transcript and have it sent to you. Do not open it and keep it somewhere safe. I have one and it cost me $5. I likely will never need it, but it gives me a little more peace of mind.
Best of luck with your search!
If you are also searching for and MBLEx study guide and practice questions, you can learn more about my MBLEx program here.
Hi there,
I attended a cosmetology school long time ago, more than twenty years and I forgot that school name.
How can I get my transcript for my license reciprocity ?
Thanks in advance for all of your comments and help
that school in NJ. Sorry not to mention that in my previous comment.
I would contact the New Jersey cosmetology board. They should have record of the name of your school you attended.
My massage school has closed as well! The Ohio College of Massotherapy. Do you know who I can contact?
I would try here – https://scr.ohio.gov/information-for-students/student-transcripts#:~:text=The%20Ohio%20State%20Board%20of,not%20under%20the%20Board's%20jurisdiction.
I am Renee Ransom,
My massage school in the state of Texas, closed some years ago, will you share the link to where I can get my transcript from?
I have some other links for Texas schools in the comments a few times. If you search, you should be able to find some places to contact.
Hi,
I am trying to locate my transcripts from Educating Hands school of massage in Miami. They have been closed since 2019, and it seems almost impossible to retrieve my records in order to apply for massage license reciprocity in another state. Does any one have similar problem, or perhaps, ideas how I can solve this issue?
Thank you in advance!
They do look tricky to get a hold of. I see they did not respond to COMTA (https://comta.org/commission-action-educating-hands-revocation/?fbclid=IwAR2uQQW7i_GGB3mgdy_Yt_Dq8lDPjGJcaB1jywiese8huYUn1NkT_vsw4uc)
I would try here – https://web02.fldoe.org/CIE/Transcript/TranscriptRequest.aspx
And also, their website redirects to another Miami massage school. Maybe they would know. Or, contact the Florida massage board office.
Is there any chance you might know who to contact to get transcripts from Michigan School of Myomassology in Berkley, Michigan? They closed and I graduated way back in 2002 I believe. I’m not sure what year they closed but I believe it was before 2010.
Have you contacted the board office yet to see if they know where their records were sent? Did Irene’s buy it? Have you tried contacting that school. I know it is very close.
Irene’s did not buy it. I contacted Irene’s and they did not have any information. I have no idea how to even find info about a board office?
Ok. It was worth a shot. Here is the board website that should have the contact info
https://www.michigan.gov/lara/bureau-list/bpl/health/hp-lic-health-prof/massage
Ok, I’ll try there, thank you!
Hi,
I have a New York license since 1999. I just moved to Virginia and would like to practice here. My massage school Healing Hands Institute in Westwood, NJ closed down a while ago. I have my transcripts, but Virginia wants them from the school. Any suggestions on how to get them? Also they will not accept my NY license. I must have MBLEx or NCETMB test results. Is there anyway of being grandfathered in by MBLEX or NCETMB since I have been a practicing therapist for 24 years.
Some states are very particular about exams and do not accept state exams. I see this a lot with NYS licensees who move.
As far as transcripts… I would try to contact former instructors, owners, etc and see who the records custodian is. They should be able to send a transcript to the board for you.
Hi. I graduated from institute of natural therapies in St. Ignance Michigan. This school also had a location in the Houghton/ Hancock Michigan area. I have my transcript but Mblex won’t except it. Unfortunately I paid the money and then did my research and my school must have closed. The instructor was Hal Rudinani and I can’t reach him or the institution. If you have any suggestions??? Thank you! You have so much helpful information. I would like to purchase the 3 or 6 month study guide.
Thank you- Summer
Why will they not accept it? Is it because it is not coming directly from the school?
Utah College of Massage Therapy?
I would try here for Utah – https://dcp.utah.gov/transcripts.html
Were they a Cortiva school? If so, I would go to Cortiva’s closed school request – https://www.cortiva.edu/closed-campuses
RAV School of Professional Studies, Virginia Beach VA
It says that this page cannot be found, but this is who I would contact – https://ppe.schev.edu/sites/default/files/PDF/requestfortranscriptform2017.pdf
https://www.schev.edu/students/resources
Any info for Health Works Institute in Bozeman, MT, please
I couldn’t find any contacts for MT. Sorry!
Hi I’m not sure if you saw my comment that I posted a couple of days ago. I asked that because my school location closed if I could get my transcript from the location that is owned by the same people. And I noticed my comment is no longer here, so I thought I’d try again.
Hi I went to massage school in 2013 in Texas. My school closed, but they do have a location in Houston, is it possible that location has my transcript?
Yes. I would contact them.

Hi! I went to school at the Marquette School of Therapeutic Massage back in 2003 and it closed in 2021. I’m looking at taking continuing education courses and cannot find any of my paperwork or reach anyone from the school itself. Any help would be appreciated!
Thank you for your time and effort in this complex adventure. I graduated from Utah Collage of Massage Therapy in 2011. They are now close. I’m looking to get my license in Hawaii and need my transcripts. Anything you can do is greatly appreciated.
I could not find a state office. I would contact the state board and ask them for guidance. Also, did Cortiva buy the school. If so, I would also try there https://www.cortiva.edu/closed-campuses.
Hi I went to Cortiva Massage school in Nj but they closed all of there schools down in NJ and I need to get copies of my transcripts. Do you have info for that?
Sure! https://www.cortiva.edu/closed-campuses
Excuse me, I attended a massage school in Georgia Academy of Massage LLC Augusta Georgia GA 30907 in 2011, and now I want to apply for a massage license, only to find out that the school is closed, is there any way I can find my previous school and store my transcript in that school ? Thanks!
I would try here: https://gnpec.georgia.gov/student-transcript-request
Thank you Ivy teacher!!!thank you so much, I will contact them immediately!
What a great resource this is! I’d run into dead end after dead end until I found your webpage! I went to American Professional Institute (API) in Georgia and contacted the above agency who directed me to Helms College in Macon for my records. I haven’t obtained them yet, but at least they were the right place to look! Thanks!
I went to North Carolina School of natural healing, how about that one?
https://archives.ncdcr.gov/researchers/services/academic-transcripts-defunct-colleges
It is on their list.

How about North Carolina?
Hello,
I attended Allied College in Maryland Heights, MO, from 2006-2007. I have contacted Missouri Dept of Ed and Dept of Higher Ed, they sent me to a Florida Clearing House with a number that no longer works. I managed to track down another number and email and had no response from either. I did massage in Illinois for 15 years (IDFPR was unsurprisingly no help at all) and moved to Oregon. Naturally, Oregon requires transcripts for everyone who hasn’t been grandfathered in. Any ideas for me?
You are where I would have contacted – https://dhewd.mo.gov/psc/closedschool.php
I have no idea why they would send you to Florida for a MO closed school! That does not sound right at all. I would contact them again, they may have thought you went to school in FL instead of transferring a license to FL.
Ivy
Hi there. My massage school, Wellness Skills, in Dallas, TX, is now closed. I need to obtain my transcripts in order to return back to massage school. I attended Spring ‘98-Spring ‘99. Is there a specific contact that you could help me with? Thank you!
Texas is a fairly common request for closed schools. I have a few suggestions in the comments.
There should be a link to the higher education department and the massage board (TDLR). You can always call the massage board and ask where to find a list of the record custodians. If not, try to find some old owners or employees of the school. Hopefully one of them knows.
https://www.highered.texas.gov/institutional-resources-programs/private-postsecondary-institutions/school-closures-records/student-academic-record-or-transcript-requests/
http://www.tdlr.com
I went to Southern California School of Massage in Riverside, California. They closed down then the owner Myra Kelly passed away in 2005. Do you happen to know who the custodian of records is?
I have no idea. I would start with contacting some other employees if you can. Here is the California page I would try, https://www.cde.ca.gov/re/di/st/, as well as CAMTC.org.
Best wishes!
Audree and Ivy, I as well went to Southern California School of Massage along with a therapists that I work with. We are in the same dilemma. We are trying to get our state license. We both went back in 1995-1997. I have been a Director since 2008 but was recently wanting to get my license just to keep it for future active. I have transcripts but CAMTC wants it to come from the school. Any information you come across please share.
Any luck? From anyone? LOL! Another So Cal School of Massage student here. I have my transcripts from 2002, I think.
Hi Rebecca,
I also went to SCSM, and am trying to get my transcripts. Have you had any luck in finding who it is that we contact?
Thanks so much!
Hi Daniel,
I also went to SCSM, and need my transcripts for CAMTC. Have you had any luck in finding yours?
Thanks so much for any response!
Hi Audree,
My name is Julie Ritter. I, also, went to school at Southern California School of Massage way back in 1993. I’m attempting to get my transcripts. Did you have any success in finding yours?
If you’d be so kind in letting me know how (if) you got yours, that would be great! Thanks so much!
I completed my course at austin school of massage therapy in Texas but never got a chance to take my state board exam my school shut down looking for my transcript but don’t know where to look
Hi Henry!
I have some links in the comments for places you can try in Texas. There should be a link to the higher education department and the massage board (TDLR). You can always call the massage board and ask where to find a list of the record custodians. If not, try to find some old owners or employees of the school. Hopefully one of them knows.

Do you have any idea how to contact the former owners or employees of the school to see who is the custodian of the records?
My school was everest college & they never gave me my certification. The school was in Anaheim California
Hi Jennifer,
For California, I would try here first – https://www.bppe.ca.gov/students/transcripts.shtml
Hello My school closed in Falls church VA
Here is the website I would try for Virginia if you cannot get a hold of anyone that worked at or owned the school – https://www.schev.edu/index/students-and-parents/explore/virginia-institutions/closed-institutions-(all)
Hello my school closed down as well Austin School of Massage Therapy Austin, but I went to school in El Paso Texas (satellite college) but I need proof of transcripts and state exam. Will you please help me?
Maribel

Hello my school closed down as well Austin School of Massage Therapy but I need proof of transcripts and state exam. Will you please help me?
Maribel
I went to Seattle Massage School in 1996. I was able to get my transcripts through ECMC but Nevada board needs my diploma/certificate, which ECMC can’t provide. I’m licensed in WA, CA, and MI. Michigan and California didn’t ask for it. Washington board has tried to no avail. Any ideas?
Have you tried this contact for Washington state?
https://www.wtb.wa.gov/contact-us/closed-school-transcripts/
Thanks so much! Just the one I needed.
Glad it helped!
I also went to Seattle massage school in 1996. Still trying to locate my transcripts. Thank you
Hello, I went to school in Indiana in 1999 and finished with my certification. I worked 5 years there before moving to Florida.
Like many my school closed in 2008 due to the owner dying of cancer. Half of the certifications were lost and the state could not find them. My certification got damaged in the hurricane of 2005. I do have my transcripts which show I had over 700 hours although they do not show how many hours of each class I have had. I would like to return to do massage but have searched everywhere with no avail to finding a way without having to go back to school for another certification. I am at a loss. Could you help me find a way? Thank you.
Hi Tamar!
Which state are you applying to? Anything you have as far as documentation may help. I am assuming that Indiana did not have licensing at that time. Did you take the NCETMB or any other licensing exam? Even those records could help. You may need to speak to the board at a board meeting and bring all of the evidence you may have for your education. I would do that before I would consider going back to school.
I went to Anthem College in 2014 graduated but didn’t pass the exam. The school went bankrupt the year I graduated and closed so I never got my transcript. I would like to get back into massager therapy but do I need to start over somewhere else?
I would contact the department of higher education in your state. Or contact the massage board in your state to see if they know where your records were sent.
I graduated from Ashmead College in Oregon in 2005. They are out of business now, but I need a transcript to move to a new state or I will have to go to school all over again! Help!
Have you tried here? https://www.oregon.gov/highered/institutions-programs/private/Pages/private-postsecondary-school-closure-transcripts.aspx
Hello I am looking for my transcript from NMTI in falls church Virginia. Thank you
This is where I would try – https://www.schev.edu/index/students-and-parents/resources/transcript-request
Thank you so much.
Same with me, but in Pennsylvania. They closed in 2014.
I’m trying to track down Cascade institute of massage and body therapies. Eugene Oregon.
Any ideas? I already contacted higher education coordinating commission and they don’t have them.
Any former employees or owners you can reach out to?
Hi Maria,
I also went to Cascade Institute in Eugene.Have you had any luck finding any leads? Thanks In Advance!
I’ve been searching for mine from Lake Lanier School of Massage in Gainesville, GA for MONTHS. Any suggestions? I’ve tried API and Woodruff-they are both non responsive.
Have you tried here? https://gnpec.georgia.gov/student-transcript-request
I know this is really frustrating. I have had so many requests lately and COVID has made it even more difficult lately to get information from schools.
I’m looking for resources for transcripts in southern NM. I went to MTTI in las cruces in 2015 and they closed a few years back. I moved to Texas and am looking to renew but need my transcripts to transfer licensure. Thanks In advance

I graduated from American Institute of Massage Therapy in Kailua, Hawaii in 2001. Wondering if you can help me obtain my transcript ? I obtained my license in Hawaii in 2001 and moved to Colorado in 2012, where i obtained my license by endorsement. I let my Hawaii license expire in 2014 as i wasn’t going to be working there anymore. I am able to obtain my original licensing through the professional and vocational licensing search website. Moved to Florida last year and they are trying to make me take the mblex after being licensed for 19 years. Thank you.
Hi Susan,
Yes, a board-approved licensing exam is required for a Florida license (I also own FloridaMasssage.com and have helped thousands get licensed there).
For a transcript, I would either try to contact whoever purchased the school or https://cca.hawaii.gov/hpeap/about/.
Thanks for the information about getting transcripts from a massage school. My little sister would like to become a massage therapist and general esthetician. I’ll suggest that she find a massage school that has lots of positive teacher reviews.
Do you know who to contact in order to get my transcript from a masage school in Houston, Tx called Memorial Hermann massage and spa therapy school. They closed down and I’ve been calling everyone. Thank you

I went to two different Technology Schools in Florida, National School of Technology and Florida College of Natural Health. I cant seem to find any information on either school and I need transcripts from both to obtain employment, do you have any idea where I can start looking?
FCNH was sold to Cortiva, I believe. I would try contacting them. For the other one, maybe try the Commission for Independent Education at 850-245-3200.
hi, my name is Jenny. I attended the Arizona school of massage therapy. I am trying to track down my transcripts , so I can continue on with my journey on into nursing school. if anyone could drop a number or a site? I would be internally grateful!

The desert Institute of the healing arts.
Who do I contact to get my transcript?
Also do you who I would contact to get my license test score for 2001,2002?
Thank you,
Daniela
Hi Daniela!
I am not sure which list you mean. Is there a contact person on the website or does it say who bought it? Is it the one in Arizona? If so, I think Cortiva bought it and I would contact them.

Hello! Thank you for posting about transcripts. I currently live in Colorado Springs, but prior to this I had my massage business in California San Diego and I’m trying to get my license here in Colorado but the school I went to Mueller college of holistic studies is closed and therefore I am unable to track down my transcripts. Do you have any advice or helpful hints?
https://www.bppe.ca.gov/students/transcripts.shtml
If not, contact CAMTC.org or former employees.
California does not have public or private records like many other states. Here is another website to check out.

Hello Tara I want to Mueller as well and have also moved to Colorado, were you able to locate your transcripts, if yes could you please let me k ow how you were successful?
Hi Tara! I also attended Mueller in San Diego and moved to Utah and haven’t been able to figure out what to do either. Were you able to find anything out? I’m so frustrated. 🙁 Thank you!
My School Closed Also! Nevada School Of Massage Therapy. I need my transcripts to reinstate my license. But don’t know where to start calling.
See this list under Cortiva – http://cpe.nv.gov/Transcript/Transcripts/
I need help getting my transcripts from Ann Arbor Institute of massage therapy in Michigan, they closed like 8 years ago. I’m trying to take the MBLEx and I’ve already paid for everything. The email to get in contact with the school owner no longer works. 🙁 I would appreciate any help you could give. I’ve called and emailed a bunch of people I went to school with, and no one seems to know how to get in contact.
Hi Jessica,
Somehow your message went to Spam. Sorry about the delay! You are the second to post on this school. Try LARA 0 https://www.michigan.gov/lara/0,4601,7-154-89334_72600_72603_27529_53660—,00.html

It does say they are not processing transcripts due to the stay at home order right now.
I appreciate you helping, I’ve tried calling, but they are still closed. They gave me this number if anyone els from my school needs it.

I graduated from Everest College in 2009. I stopped practicing in 2014 to stay home with a new baby and I’m now wanting to reinstate my license, but I need transcripts. Everest college, which was bought out by Corinthian College, is no longer in business. Where would you suggest I start looking to track down my records? Thx!

I need to get a copy of my transcript from Texas Massage Therapy Corporation, Red Bluff Road, Pasadena, TX. I let my license lapse in 2011 and would like to go back into practice. Can you help me because I haven’t had any luck finding this information.
I’m looking forward to getting your help with the MBLEX exam!

I also need my transcripts from Texas. Tdlr destroys all transcripts after 5 years . They do not even keep a digital record. I’m trying to get mine transferred to Georgia. Both schools I went to closed. Austin school of massage and alternative body care in wAco. I have both original transcripts but the will not except them from me
I would start trying to find the keeper, or custodian, of the records for each of those schools. Each school should have someone that has your records other than the TDLR.
Hi – clearly there are a lot of people with this issue. I went to Body Electric School of Massage and Rebirthing in 1989. The school has been closed for years, owners aren’t even alive and transcripts are not available.. https://www.yelp.com/biz/body-electric-school-of-massage-and-rebirthing-the-oakland
What can you suggest? Thanks
Hi Paula, It is unfortunately very common. I would contact the owner’s family, CAMTC.org for advice, or this page for California – https://www.bppe.ca.gov/students/transcripts.shtml
Hello Ivy. I have been a massage therapist in New Jersey for 5 years and I just moved to Miami. I need to transfer my license but my school closed a few years ago and I don’t know where to start because nobody has information on where I can get my transcript….. Hopefully you can help me. Thank you very much in advance.
If the NJ board of massage cannot help, try
https://www.nj.gov/education/cte/ppcs/students/StudentRecords.shtml
NJ may be harder since they did not regulate massage and their schools did not have to be approved for so long.
Also, really try to find those old school contacts to see who may have the copies.
I can’t find My school.
I did get my transcripts from a third party but Florida board of health said I need to get directly from school or contact nj department of education and they don’t have that.
By away thank you fir helping me pass my emblem exam!
What school did you go to? Do you have any contacts from that school or have you found out who the school records custodian is?
Hello there, great article. I am trying to transfer from Massachusetts to Florida. I went to Dovestar School of Holistic Technology and it no longer exists. Any advice/info very much appreciated!
Thanks, Kate!
I found Dovestar on this list -https://www.mass.gov/files/documents/2019/07/02/Closed%20School%20List%20for%20Web%207-3-19.pdf
I actually have another website to help people with getting a Florida license. Here it is – https://www.floridamassage.com/license/. Let me know if you have questions along the way. They may not need a transcript if the education hours information is on your state verification. But just in case, you should be ready to provide it if asked.
Hi my name is Kelly. I attended massage school in Philadelphia and it was a trade school. I am trying to locate a number because the transcript has to be sent directly to fsbmt for me to sit and take my test. I tried multiple ways to send it, it can not come from me the applicant it has to come from my school that has been shut down.
Have you tried here for Pennsylvania?
https://www.education.pa.gov/Postsecondary-Adult/CollegeCareer/Pages/Private-Licensed-Schools.aspx
Aloha Ivy,
I attended the Big Island Academy of Massage in Hilo, HI and graduated in 2009. Sometime after that, the school was sold and a couple of years after that it closed. I am relocating to Washington state and need my official transcripts which have been incredibly difficult to find. Any suggestions?
I would try these two places first for Hawaii and ask if they have information on where your transcripts would be located.
Hawaii Massage Board – https://cca.hawaii.gov/pvl/boards/massage/
Hawaii Post-Secondary Education Authorization Program – https://cca.hawaii.gov/hpeap/files/2015/05/HPEAP-Closed-School-Guide-for-StudentsMay2015.pdf
This school – https://www.hilomassage.com/

Yes. If they cannot help, they can tell you where you may find your transcripts.

Here is one for PA – The school appears to be on this list. Maybe they know where to look even though you were in NJ.

Phila School of Massage became National Massage Therapy Institute, then closed. The above link will take you where you need to go to access your transcript.
Thanks, Leah!
I attended Nevada School of Massage Therapy in Las Vegas, NV.
They just closed last month.
Do you have any info for Nevada please send thank You?
For all of the Steiner / Cortiva closings, I would first try contacting their corporate first since they still have some schools open. – https://www.cortiva.edu/contact-us/
Then you have the Nevada Massage Board – http://massagetherapy.nv.gov/
And their commission on postsecondary education – http://cpe.nv.gov/Transcript/Transcripts/
I need help for locating my transcripts from Sacramento Ca, my school shut down and was reopened under another name then was officially shut down again. I am having an extremely hard time trying to find out how to get my transcripts.
Try here – https://www.bppe.ca.gov/students/transcripts.shtml
If not, contact CAMTC.org or former employees.
California does not have public or private records like many other states.

Where can I find a massage school transcript from WA. State? My school name was School of Therapeutic Touch & Body Work.
I would try here – http://www.wtb.wa.gov/TranscriptRequest.asp – or the WA Massage Board. If not, try to contact former employees of the school to see if there is record keeper.
The Massage school I attended was in Massachusetts, it closed in 2011
Massachusetts Massage Board – https://www.mass.gov/orgs/board-of-registration-of-massage-therapy
Or here – Closed Schools and Student Records – Office of Private Occupational School Education

Any information on Massage School in Pacific Beach, California specifically International Professional School of Bodywork?
I would try CAMTC.org or https://www.cde.ca.gov/re/di/st/
I went to massage school in media, PA in 1994. Can’t find transcripts anywhere. Name of the school was Owens institute of massage and wholistic sciences.

My school, Heritage Institute, had multiple locations across the country that closed in November of 2016. My particular location was Falls Church, VA. I’ve searched a few sites online and seem to have hit a dead end. Could you lend me some assistance, at least where I can pick back up my search?
Have you contacted the VA board of massage?
https://www.dhp.virginia.gov/nursing/nursing_forms.htm
Or VA department of higher education
http://www.schev.edu/
Otherwise, find former employees of the school to find out where they can be found.
Did you get information about Heritage Institute? I tried to get my transcripts from company that “took over” but they couldn’t find my records from 2007-2009
Did you try my suggestions below? Was this also in VA?
VA board of massage
https://www.dhp.virginia.gov/nursing/nursing_forms.htm
Or VA department of higher education
http://www.schev.edu/
my schooled closed down in November and the head massage instructore said she sent my application package to CAMTC so i called and they do not have it only thing they have is my live scan my school is fully paid off through the9/11 gi bill and there’s no way contacting my ex instructor or the school.
Does CAMTC have any information on the school for you? The schools need to be approved in CA.
And you help me find my transcript from Michigan. I attended the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy. And I’ve emailed the director of the school that has since been closed and no response. I am trying to open a new business and live in Virginia now and I am on a time crunch! They said I can’t send a copy of my transcript personally but only from my school. Please help! Aundria
I would start by contacting LARA in Michigan if you held a license there.
https://www.michigan.gov/lara/0,4601,7-154-89334_72600_72603_27529_53660—,00.html
Ive tried contacting the old owner of the school, yesterday, through fb messenger. No response, yet.
Which state?
Aundria, if you’ve found a way to get the transcripts, since 12/18, please let me know. I would be so grateful!
Can you please help me to get my massage transcript in Texas but the school is no longer open
Contact the massage board in Texas. They should be able to help you out.
Can you please provide below the link for the application of transcript from an out of state school? Your links embedding in the FL massage applications are unclickable. Thanks!
Florida does not have links, just phone numbers. Here is a link I did find while looking and will add- https://web02.fldoe.org/CIE/Transcript/TranscriptRequest.aspx
Thank you! Do you have any info for the state of Texas?
If the TX Board of Massage cannot help, try the TX Dept of Higher Education.
